Dâire-i Belediyesi

The Dâire-i Belediyesi was the office of the municipal government.  The municipality is what governed the city of Diyarbekir itself, in charge of the bazaars, markets, road upkeep, and other responsibilities. The building was built during the reign of vali Arif Paşa during 1887-1888.  The Daire-i Belediyesi was located outside of the citadel (unlike all of the other government buildings), at the northeast corner of the Ulu Câmi‘i.
